이제 밤새 켜놓아야하는 등불

문설주에 걸어 놓으련다.

언젠가 불쑥

뛰어 들어올 우리 아이를 위해

꺼지지 않을 등불

환희 밝혀 두어야 할 시간

짧으면 어떻고

너무 길어 지쳐도 좋을

기다림의 깜박임 꺼지지 않도록

바람 비켜가라며

동이 트는 아침까지

멀리 동네 모서리에서도 보이도록

환희 켜놓으련다.

우리 아들이 국군이 되어

땀흘리는 고된 훈련 무사히 마치고

언제든 편히 돌아오도록

우리가 기다리는

반가움 가득한 대견함을 빛내줄

등불 하나 켜놓아지.
